Why Is the Mechanism Underlying the Chiral‐Induced Selectivity Effect Still Challenging?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect is observed in many experimental configurations and for different materials. However, there are theoretical challenges in attempting to explain those results. A qualitative framework for explaining all the results is presented.

“Pomest’e,” “Votchina,” “Estate,” “Dacha,” “Land Plot” in the Conceptual Apparatus of 16th–18th Century Legislative Acts: A Historical-Legal Analysis

open access: yesСибирское юридическое обозрение
The article is devoted to researching and analyzing the principal units of the conceptual and terminological apparatus used in the legal regulation of land (land-management) relations, as well as legal relations in the sphere of land surveying. The units

Intrinsic Coordination Architecture Governing Selectivity Divergence Between Extended and Single‐Site Electrocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Catalyst coordination acts as a loaded dice biasing reaction selectivity. Single‐atom site catalysts lock intermediates in exposed configurations, enabling continued hydrogenation and favoring oxygen‐retaining products. In contrast, extended metal surfaces fully coordinate and shield reactive centers, promoting deoxygenation pathways. This work reveals

False memory formation in autism: the role of relational processing at study

open access: yes
Purpose: Several studies have investigated false memory production in autistic adults, yet it remains unclear whether susceptibility to false memories differs from non-autistic adults and what mechanisms might contribute to any differences. This study examines the mechanisms behind false memory formation in autistic adults using the Deese-Roediger ...

X-ray Spectrometric Study on Anisotropy of Soaps in Relation to the Processing

open access: yesJournal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society, 1966
Two typical kinds of commercial soap (framed soap and milled soap) were studied on their anisotrophic property by means of X-ray diffraction method. On the framed soap, the cooled surface showed more intense diffraction on long spacing peaks than any of those on the perpendicular faces to the cooled surface.

Energy Band Alignment and Electro‐Optical Behavior of Nearly Unstrained Monolayer MoS2 Heterostructures With GaN

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Large size (∼100 µm) monolayer MoS2 grown by LPI‐CVD on n‐GaN exhibit a high n‐type doping, very low strain, and a type‐I band alignment at MoS2/GaN interface. Photocurrent measurements under illumination with photon energies from ∼2 to ∼5 eV show superior electro‐optical performances of these MoS2/n‐GaN heterojunctions as compared to Ni/n‐GaN devices ...

Pattern Formation in Non‐Equilibrium Architected Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This article demonstrates an artificial mechanical system ‐ a robotic metamaterial ‐ as an accessible and versatile platform within which to explore and prescribe the reaction‐diffusion driven pattern formation hitherto associated with comparatively less accessible and versatile non‐equilibrium biological and chemical systems.

Advanced Design for Weakly Coupled Resonators by Automatic Active Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An Automatic Active Optimization (AAO) strategy integrates machine learning predictors and genetic algorithms in a closed‐loop workflow. By iteratively expanding its dataset with new discoveries, AAO overcomes the limits of conventional methods. This approach finds superior microstructural designs beyond the initial sample space. We demonstrate this on
