Processing of semantic categorical and associative relations: an ERP mapping study
International Journal of Psychophysiology, 2003Brain imaging studies have repeatedly shown a dominant involvement of the left hemisphere (LH) in the processing of semantic information. However, some behavioural studies have suggested that the right hemisphere (RH) also processes lexico-semantic information although in a qualitatively different way.

Experimental Studies Related to s-process Abundances
2002The accurate determination of the neutron capture cross sections at stellar temperatures of kT = 10–100 keV is an essential prerequisite for investigations of the nucleosynthesis of heavy elements. For this purpose a 4π Barium Fluoride Detector was constructed at Karlsruhe and implemented at the 3.75MV Van de Graaff accelerator.

Effects of Alcohol on Verbal Processing: An Event‐Related Potential Study
Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research, 2004Abstract:Background:Behavioral studies suggest that alcohol intoxication impairs the speed and accuracy of word recognition and categorization, but alcohol's effects on the brain during verbal cognitive processing are not adequately understood. Using event‐related potentials (ERP) and a word‐recognition paradigm, this study investigated the effects of ...

Sex differences in humor processing: An event-related potential study
Brain and Cognition, 2018Numerous behavioral studies and a handful of functional neuroimaging studies have reported sex differences in humor. However, no study to date has examined differences in the time-course of brain activity during multistage humor processing between the sexes. The purpose of this study was to compare real-time dynamics related to humor processing between

A study of problems related to the implementation of multiple process approaches in enterprise
2011 FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RESEARCH CHALLENGES IN INFORMATION SCIENCE, 2011During the last two decades, several process approaches have emerged. Each of these approaches has specific objectives and they can all be implemented simultaneously in the same company. The literature shows the benefits of each approach. But, in view of this literature, none did ask to see what happens if these approaches were implemented ...

Aging Effects on Auditory Processing: An Event-Related Potential Study
Experimental Aging Research, 1996Deviant tones randomly embedded in a sequence of standard tones elicit an event-related potential (ERP) called the mismatch negativity (MMN), which reflects automatic stimulus-change detection in the human auditory system. When the tones are attended, deviant tones elicit also an N2b component that partly overlaps the MMN.

Word and Picture Processing in Children: An Event-Related Potential Study
Developmental Neuropsychology, 2002In an investigation of the N400 component, event-related potentials (ERPs) elicited by 4 types of word stimuli (real words, pseudowords, random letter strings, and false fonts) and 3 types of picture stimuli (real pictures, pseudopictures, and picture parts) presented in separate lists were recorded from 10- and 11-year-old children.

The Relation of Social to Pathophysiological Processes: Evidence from Epidemiological Studies
1984Epidemiological strategies have proved appropriate for studying aetiology of chronic diseases. Sound application of epidemiological techniques allows the testing of hypotheses. Such techniques have been applied only to a limited extent in studying psycho-social factors.
