The relative Chebyshev centers of finite sets in geodesic spaces

Russian Mathematics, 2008
A metric space \(X\) is a \textit{geodesic~space} if any two points \(x,y\) of \(X\) may be joined by a continuous curve whose length equals the distance \(d(x,y)\). If \(M\) is a bounded subset of \(X\), then its \textit{Chebychev~radius} \(R(M)\) is the infimum of the radii \(R\) of all metric balls \(B(x,R)\) that contain \(M\), where \(x\) ranges ...

Relative Chebyshev Centers in L∞(μ,X)

2014
Let X be a Banach space and Y a weakly K-analytic subspace of X. In this paper we study the simultaneous proximinality in the space L∞(μ,X). In this sense we have proved that L∞(μ, Y) is simultaneously proximinal in L∞(μ,X) if, and only if, Y is simultaneously proximinal in X.
