Obtaining High Fringe Precision in Self-Mixing Interference Using a Simple External Reflecting Mirror

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2013
Based on the study of laser diode self-mixing interference effects, a simple and effective method that can improve fringe precision is presented. By employing an external reflecting mirror, theoretical and experimental results show an assured increase ...

Improved Precision Time Protocol with Relative Clock Phase Information

open access: yes2018 IEEE International Symposium on Precision Clock Synchronization for Measurement, Control, and Communication (ISPCS), 2018
In this paper, we analyze the estimation capabilities of IEEE 1588-2008 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and propose a super-imposed clock timing aware signal exchange protocol over PTP. The proposed protocol, without impacting any existing PTP infrastructure, provides independent clock parameter estimates.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Application of Grey Prediction and BP Neural Network in Hydrologic Prediction

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
Based on the data of annual runoff at Boluo Hydrologic Station in the Dongjiang River of Guangdong Province from 1954 to 2010, this paper establishes a prediction model of an annual runoff through three methods, that is, the regression analysis, the grey

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Epidemiology of Rounding Error

open access: yesMedicina
This work represents a significant contribution to understanding the importance of appropriately rounding numbers with minimal error. That is, to reduce inexact rounding and data truncation error and simultaneously eliminate unintentional misleading ...

Monitoring gait in multiple sclerosis with novel wearable motion sensors.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
BackgroundMobility impairment is common in people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) and there is a need to assess mobility in remote settings. Here, we apply a novel wireless, skin-mounted, and conformal inertial sensor (BioStampRC, MC10 Inc.) to examine ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
