High Precision Relative Localization Using a Single Camera
Proceedings 2007 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2007In this paper a method for high precision relative localization using a single camera is proposed. The method provides pose estimates comparable in resolution to wheel odometry, but being independent of the kinematics and based on an exteroceptive sensor, is resistant to wheel slippage.

Relatively simple, precise methods to analyze temperature transients in ectotherms
Journal of Thermal Biology, 2001Relatively complex core-shell models have been used to precisely characterize times and temperatures for ectotherms. There is a simpler method using a second-order analysis of heat flux. We derive the method from an equivalent mechanical system, correct some previously published inaccuracies, and show how to use the method by analyzing thermal ...

Precise relative motions of formation flying space vehicles
AIAA/AAS Astrodynamics Specialist Conference and Exhibit, 1998This paper presents an analysis of the relative motions between formation flying space vehicles in orbit about the Earth and Mars. Formation flying is proposed for: cross calibration of science instruments on follow-on missions and new technology demonstrations, moving from large platforms to several smaller vehicles with distributed instrumentation ...
