Relative Sensitivity of Pine Species to Ozone
Arboriculture & Urban Forestry, 1982Seedlings of Pinus banksiana, P. parviflora, P. ponderosa, and P. sylvestris showed the most foliar injury to ozone fumigation at 20 and 30 pphm during an 8 hr/day, 70 day period. Pinus aristata and P. strobus showed the least injury, and were most tolerant. P. nigra, P. strobiformis, and P. thunbergii were moderately tolerant but sustained some injury.

Relative Sensitivity of Several Plants to Diphenamid
Weed Science, 1971The concentration of N,N-dimethyl-2,2-diphenylacetamide (diphenamid) required to cause 50% growth inhibition (I50) of the shoots or roots in soil, or the roots in a bioassay, was determined for several species. of the plants tested, grasses were the most sensitive, while Solanaceae were among the most tolerant to diphenamid.

Extrafoveal Relative Red-Green Sensitivity
1985In order to investigate opponent color channel damages in optic nerve diseases, the ranges of the red-green hue cancellation were measured for up to 10° from the fovea along the horizontal meridian on two normal observers and on a patient with optic nerve disease.

Sensitive Pyrometer with High Relative Reproducibility
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1962The accuracy of measurement of temperature and particularly temperature distribution in current heated wires can be considerably improved by using semiconducting light-sensitive resistors as a pyrometer. They feature almost exponential dependence of their resistivity on temperature of the hot wire and insensitivity against changes in ambient ...

Determination of the Relative Spectral Sensitivity of Phototubes*
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1955The determination of the relative spectral response of phototubes usually involves the calibration of the spectrum from a monochromator and subsequent exposure of the phototubes thereto. To avoid the well-known difficulties of radiometry, involving monochromators, thermocouples and/or thermopiles, galvanometers, and amplifiers, an alternative method is

CONCEPTUAL RELATIVITY AND SPEAKING-SENSITIVE SEMANTICS
2008The main goal of this paper will be to analyze the relationship between the phenomenon of conceptual relativity and the speaking-sensitive semantics. My paper will be divided into three parts. In the first part I will present Putnam’s the phenomenon of conceptual relativity, in the second part I will exhibit the main ideas that characterize the ...
