Correlation between Microstructure and Rheological Properties of Broad Molecular Weight Distribution High Density Polyethylenes [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2015
In this article, the correlation between molecular microstructure and rheological behavior for three different grades of high density polyethylene with broad molecular weight distribution have been investigated.

Anisotropic spin splitting and spin relaxation in asymmetric zinc-blende semiconductor quantum structures

open access: yes, 2003
Spin relaxation due to the D'yakonov-Perel' mechanism is intimately related with the spin splitting of the electronic states. We determine the spin relaxation rates from anisotropic spin splittings of electron subbands in n-(001) zinc-blende ...

SNUPN‐Related Muscular Dystrophy: Novel Phenotypic, Pathological and Functional Protein Insights

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SNUPN‐related muscular dystrophy or LGMDR29 is a new entity that covers from a congenital or childhood onset pure muscular dystrophy to more complex phenotypes combining neurodevelopmental features, cataracts, or spinocerebellar ataxia. So far, 12 different variants have been described.

General boundary stabilization result of memory-type thermoelasticity with second sound

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
In this article we consider an n-dimensional system of visco-thermoelasticity with second sound, where a viscoelastic dissipation is acting on a part of the boundary. We prove an explicit general decay rate result without imposing $u_0=0$ as in [17].

Longitudinal Relationship Between Pain and Depression in People With Inflammatory Arthritis: A Narrative Review

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
As many patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) have chronic pain, understanding how to best assess and manage pain in IA is a priority. Comorbid depression is prevalent in adults with IA, affecting 15% to 39% of people. Although pain and depression are thought to be associated in IA, this concept is largely based on cross‐sectional data.

Rate of decay for solutions of viscoelastic evolution equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
In this article we consider a Cauchy problem of a nonlinear viscoelastic equation of order four. Under suitable conditions on the initial data and the relaxation function, we prove polynomial and logarithmic decay of solutions.

Digital behavioral therapy improves outcome in patients with axial spondyloarthritis and persistent pain: a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is often associated with persistent pain despite effective anti‐inflammatory treatment. Digital health applications (DHA) provide innovative approaches to address multidimensional aspects of persistent pain through psychological and behavioral strategies. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of a DHA

Decay rates for solutions of semilinear wave equations with a memory condition at the boundary

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2002
In this paper, we study the stability of solutions for semilinear wave equations whoseboundary condition includes a integral that represents the memory effect.

A generalization of the Becker model in linear viscoelasticity: Creep, relaxation and internal friction

open access: yes, 2018
We present a new rheological model depending on a real parameter $\nu \in [0,1]$ that reduces to the Maxwell body for $\nu=0$ and to the Becker body for $\nu=1$.

Data‐Driven Distributed Safe Control Design for Multi‐Agent Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper presents a data‐driven control barrier function (CBF) technique for ensuring safe control of multi‐agent systems (MASs) with uncertain linear dynamics. A data‐driven quadratic programming (QP) optimization is first developed for CBF‐based safe control of single‐agent systems using a nonlinear controller. This approach is then extended to the
