A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF THE INFLUENCE OF RELAXATION PROCESSES ON THE TEMPERATURE FIELD IN AN ELASTIC HALF-SPACE

open access: yesРоссийский технологический журнал, 2017
The article examines the relaxation processes that occur in an elastic solid medium when it is heated and cooled, especially their influence on the temperature field. Besides, we considered in this paper the heat equation of parabolic type arising in the

Conductance of a SET with a retarded dielectric layer in the gate capacitor

open access: yes, 2015
We study conductance of a single electron transistor (SET) with a ferroelectric (or dielectric) layer placed in the gate capacitor. We assume that ferroelectric (FE) has a retarded response with arbitrary relaxation time.

Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

Comparative Study of 2D Lattice Boltzmann Models for Simulating Seismic Waves

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The simulation of seismic wavefields holds paramount significance in understanding subsurface structures and seismic events. The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) provides a computational framework adept at capturing detailed wave interactions, offering a ...

Feasibility and Tolerability of Performing Portable MRI for Neurological Disorders in an Outpatient Neurology Clinic: A Prospective Cohort

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Accessing brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be challenging, especially for underserved patients, which may lead to disparities in neurological diagnosis. Method This mixed‐methods study enrolled adults with one of four neurological disorders: mild cognitive impairment or dementia of the Alzheimer type, multiple sclerosis ...

Relaxation Processes in Clouds of Trapped Bosons above the Bose-Einstein Condensation Temperature

open access: yes, 1998
We present a unified account of damping of low-lying collective modes and of relaxation of temperature anisotropies in a trapped Bose gas in the collisionless regime.

A Scoping Review on Artificial Intelligence–Supported Interventions for Nonpharmacologic Management of Chronic Rheumatic Diseases

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes artificial intelligence (AI)‐supported nonpharmacological interventions for adults with chronic rheumatic diseases, detailing their components, purpose, and current evidence base. We searched Embase, PubMed, Cochrane, and Scopus databases for studies describing AI‐supported interventions for adults with chronic rheumatic diseases.

Substructure and magnetic properties of single-crystal spinel ferrites films

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2011
The results of the study of static and dynamic magnetic properties of single-crystal spinel ferrites films. It is shown that the magnetic properties of films depend on the chemical composition, degree of structural defects and technological conditions of ...
