Synergistic Processes for Microstructure Engineering and Enhanced Dielectric Functionality in PVDF‐Based Systems

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
This work shows that tuning solvent polarity and evaporation rate during casting significantly improves the microstructure and dielectric properties of PVDF‐based co‐ and ter‐polymers films. Using highly polar, fast‐evaporating solvents enhances crystallinity, electroactive phase formation, and dielectric performance, offering a simple, energy ...

Exploring Routes to Calculating the Effective Magnetic Permeability of Polymer Magnetic Composites

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Schematic of a static (undeformed) configuration of the magnetic‐filled polymer network for a semi‐crystalline sample. ABSTRACT Our understanding of the effective magnetic permeability of composite materials composed of randomly dispersed metallic ferromagnetic particles within a nonmagnetic (polymer) matrix must respond to several challenges.

Effects of Sc Composition and Lattice Constraint on Polarization Switching of ScxAl1−xN Alloys: A First‐Principles Study

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), EarlyView.
Calculated minimum energy path (red circle) and c/a ratio (blue circle) along the reaction coordinate for homogeneous polarization switching from metal‐polar to nitrogen‐polar structures for Sc0.25Al0.75N alloy, along with side views of atomic configurations during structural change obtained by the nudged‐elastic band method.

Ammonothermal Growth of Rhombohedral Boron Nitride

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), EarlyView.
Boron nitride crystals are grown using the ammonothermal technique in a temperature‐induced solubility gradient of BN dissolved in a solution of supercritical ammonia using sodium as the mineralizer. The grown BN crystals harvest off the autoclave walls, and cubic BN seeds are characterized as hexagonal and rhombohedral phases of BN. Boron nitride (BN)

Effect of Fe Doping on the Structural, Morphological, Optical, and Magnetic Properties of Ca2InTaO6 Double Perovskite

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), EarlyView.
Fe‐doped Ca2InTaO6 double perovskites are synthesized via solid‐state reaction and systematically investigated. Rietveld refinement confirms orthorhombic Pbnm structure, while optical studies reveal a bandgap narrowing from 3.31 to 2.84 eV. Photoluminescence spectra exhibit strong red emission at 671 nm with optimal intensity at 10 mol% Fe ...
