Optimal coordination of directional overcurrent relays using PSO-TVAC considering series compensation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The integration of system compensation such as Series Compensator (SC) into the transmission line makes the coordination of directional overcurrent in a practical power system important and complex.

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Empirical Coordination in a Triangular Multiterminal Network

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we investigate the problem of the empirical coordination in a triangular multiterminal network. A triangular multiterminal network consists of three terminals where two terminals observe two external i.i.d correlated sequences.

Integrated Transcriptomics Reveals Evolutionary Trajectories and Cell Density‐Dependent Mechanisms in Aldosterone‐Producing Adenomas

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Aldosterone‐producing adenomas (APAs) develop via two distinct paths: directly from adrenal zona glomerulosa (zG) cells, or stepwise from zG cells through aldosterone‐producing micronodules (APMs) before progressing to APAs. Advanced single‐cell and spatial analyses identified distinct cell states linked to oxidative stress and cell–cell interactions ...

Migration Between Two Inverse Time-Overcurrent Curves of Different Standard: Experience at Siguragura Power Station

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro, 2019
The inevitable replacement of electro-mechanical protection relays with more recently-developed microprocessor-based protection relays poses challenges to engineer, one of which is migration from existing manufacturer’s non-standard inverse time ...

Cellular Snowballing: Cell Adhesion and Migration Drive the Self‐Assembly of Cell‐Microgel Biohybrid Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new class of biohybrid spheroids is engineered through the self‐assembly of adherent cells and extracellular matrix‐mimetic hydrogel microparticles (microgels). By mimicking a snowballing effect, this approach enables scalable formation of porous, millimeter‐scale spheroids with enhanced cell viability and molecular diffusion.

Opportunistic Relaying in Wireless Networks

open access: yes, 2009
Relay networks having $n$ source-to-destination pairs and $m$ half-duplex relays, all operating in the same frequency band in the presence of block fading, are analyzed.
