Evaluation of an EPID in vivo monitoring system using local and external independent audit measurements

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose The aim of this work was to evaluate the SunCHECK PerFRACTION, the software for in vivo monitoring using EPID images. Materials/Methods First, the PerFRACTION ability to detect errors was investigated simulating two situations: (1) variation of LINAC output and (2) variation of the phantom thickness.

Geometric properties of reliability polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Geometric modeling of multivariate reliability polynomials is based on algebraic hypersurfaces, constant level sets, rulings etc. The solved basic problems are: (i) find the reliability polynomial using the Maple and Matlab software environment; (ii) find restrictions of reliability polynomial via equi-reliable components; (iii) how should the ...

Skill Vehicle Routing Problem With Time Windows Considering Dynamic Service Times and Time-Skill-Dependent Costs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Service processes in modern logistic systems tend to be highly specialized and intellectualized. However, some casual and unexpected behavior may occur, causing specific dynamic interactions among their many constituents.

Reliability modelling of uninterruptible power supply using probability tree method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The unreliability of public power lines have led to the need of uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Utility power failures will cause unacceptably high risk to the profitability, existence and growth of the vital aspect of business that depends heavily ...

NanoCMSer: a consensus molecular subtype stratification tool for fresh‐frozen and paraffin‐embedded colorectal cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Consensus molecular subtypes (CMS1‐4) have been identified to study colorectal cancer heterogeneity and serve as potential biomarkers. In this study, we developed and evaluated NanoCMSer, a NanoString‐based classifier using 55 genes, optimized for FF and FFPE to facilitate the clinical evaluation of CMS subtyping.

Quantitative Paradigm of Software Reliability as Content Relevance [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
This paper presents a quantitative approach to software reliability and content relevance definitions validated by the systems' potential reliability law. Thus it is argued for the unified math nature or quantitative paradigm of software reliability and content relevance.

Detection rate for ESR1 mutations is higher in circulating‐tumor‐cell‐derived genomic DNA than in paired plasma cell‐free DNA samples as revealed by ddPCR

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Analysis of ESR1 mutations in plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) is highly important for the selection of treatment in patients with breast cancer. Using multiplex‐ddPCR and identical blood draws, we investigated whether circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and cfDNA provide similar or complementary information for ESR1 mutations.

Scenarios of Destruction for Large Network and Increasing Reliability [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Damage scenarios for large networks are considered. The cascade scenario is described by means of powers of adjacency matrix. More difficult probabilistic variants of the large network damage are modeling by Markov chains. For reliability augmentation of networks we add a set of random intermediate agents with big dimensionality.

The Temperature Compensation of FBG Sensor for Monitoring the Stress on Hole-Edge

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
To apply Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors in the hole structural health monitoring of aircraft, this study investigates a temperature compensation algorithm based on Fourier curve-fitting, combined with an analysis of FBG layout.

Robust acute myeloid leukemia engraftment in humanized scaffolds using injectable biomaterials and intravenous xenotransplantation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived xenografts (PDXs) can be improved by implantation of a humanized niche. We tested different biomaterials and approaches, and demonstrate that the combination of an injectable biomaterial for scaffold creation plus an intravenous route for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) xenotransplantation provide the most convenient and robust approach to
