Software reliability analysis

IBM Systems Journal, 1983
Methods proposed for software reliability prediction are reviewed. A case study is then presented of the analysis of failure data from a Space Shuttle software project to predict the number of failures likely during a mission, and the subsequent verification of these predictions.

Stochastic circuit reliability analysis

2011 Design, Automation & Test in Europe, 2011
Stochastic circuit reliability analysis, as decribed in this work, matches the statistical attributes of underlying device fabrics and transistor aging to the spatial and temporal reliability of an entire circuit. For the first time, spatial and temporal stochastic and deterministic reliability effects are handled toghether in an efficient framework ...

ON RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF CHORDAL RINGS

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1995
A common technique to improve the reliability of loop (or ring) networks is by introducing link redundancy; that is, by providing several alternative paths for communication between pairs of nodes. With alternate paths between nodes, the network can now sustain several node and link failures by bypassing the faulty components.

Faster reliable phylogenetic analysis

Proceedings of the third annual international conference on Computational molecular biology, 1999
We present fast new algorithms for phylogenetic reconstruction from distance data or weighted quartets. The methods are conservative-they will only return edges that are well supported by the input data. This approach is not only philosophically attractive; the conservative tree estimate can be used as a basis for further tree refinement or divide and ...

A Reliability Simulation Language for Reliability Analysis

1986
Much attention is being directed towards the development of reliability assessment tools. Common to all techniques is the requirement for a systematic description of the reliability problem.

Logarithmic distributions in reliability analysis

Microelectronics Reliability, 2002
Abstract Real-life systems are complex, with many independent parameters which can affect the system. Their behaviour can therefore be very variable. This is especially true of the more involved processes which occur in reliability and degradation processes.
