ABSTRACT SMEs receive increasing institutional support to embed sustainability, yet they vary widely in their ability to translate such support into practice. This study addresses this gap by examining the internal cognitive and strategic mechanism (sustainability orientation) through which managers interpret institutional support and the contextual ...

A Decision‐Making Model for Implementing Green Technology in Sustainable Building Projects
ABSTRACT Green technology (GT) adoption is pivotal for reconciling environmental stewardship with economic viability in the built environment, particularly in resource‐constrained emerging economies. However, empirical evidence on how specific GT drivers actively mitigate adoption barriers remains scarce.

Switched reluctance motor (SRM) drives can be used in all types of adjustable speed applications, including high performance servo drives. An important technique used for obtaining high performance from an SRM drive is determination of rotor position. A shaft position transducer is often used for this purpose.

Reluctance motors depend for their operation on the existence of alternate zones of higher and lower permeance between stator and rotor round the periphery. In the usual form of reluctance motor this is provided by salient poles on the rotor. In the vernier form of reluctance motor it results from both stator and rotor having teeth, separated by open ...

We formally solve the velocity and position regulation problem. A pendulum is included as the load in the position control problem. Our proposals are the closest control schemes to standard control for this class of motors, but our proposals are provided with formal stability proofs.

The dynamical model is derived. The proposed control scheme is designed in original coordinates, i.e., a transformation such as dq is not required in this case. We solve the velocity control problem and the position control problem without velocity measurements.

This paper shows a general review of Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM), reports the conversion of Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) to SRM and discusses methods to estimate the torque produced in SRM. AMB converted to SRM has been tested on a laboratory scale test rig and its torque production measured.

Yokeless switched reluctance motors
2006 37th IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2006This paper introduces a novel switched reluctance motor (SRM) that has a yokeless rotor and a stator configuration that uses substantially less back iron (yoke-less) than conventional types. The consequence of this unique yokeless rotor and yoke-less stator configuration, results in an extremely efficient torque generation mechanism and a very high ...
