Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

Pore-scale remaining oil distribution under different pore volume water injection based on CT technology

open access: yes, 2017
A water-injection experiment was performed on a water-wet reservoir core plug that was filled with brine first and then displaced by synthetic oil. A X-ray Computed Tomography was used to take snapshots of the process of oil-water displacement at predefined

Electrified Damage in Motion Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The electrified damage in motion systems is a fundamental framework presenting the degradation pathway arising from the coupling of electrical energy transport with mechanical contact and interfacial chemistry. The framework positions electrified damage as a distinct degradation regime with unique characteristic surface morphologies and failures of ...

Remaining oil distribution and potential tapping measures for palaeo-subterranean river reservoirs: A case study of TK440 well area in Tahe Oilfield

open access: yesYouqicang pingjia yu kaifa, 2020
Carbonate palaeo-subterranean river reservoirs are fractured-vuggy reservoirs composed of deep main rivers, shallow branch and high-angle fractures, with large-scale karst caves as the storage space, belonging to the three main reservoir types in Tahe ...

IN4MER Biomaterial Ink: A Phosphorescent Biosensing Biomaterial Ink for Multiple Analytes (Glucose, Lactate, Oxygen) Measurements and Temperature Sensing Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multianalyte, real‐time monitoring of bioprinted scaffolds remains challenging. Phosphorescence‐lifetime–based, optically responsive microparticles are embedded in diverse printable hydrogels (κ‐carrageenan, GelMA, PEGDA) to form biomaterial inks that report oxygen, glucose, lactate, and temperature.
