Data-Driven Remaining Useful Life Estimation

open access: yesAnnual Conference of the PHM Society
This paper explores the development and application of data-driven prognostic models for estimating the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) condensers experiencing tube fouling. Due to the unavailability of run-to-failure industry sensor data, we utilized simulated data generated by the Asherah Nuclear Power Plant Simulator (ANS ...

Recurrent variational autoencoder approach for remaining useful life estimation

open access: yesLogic Journal of the IGPL
Abstract A new method for evaluating aircraft engine monitoring data is proposed. Commonly, prognostics and health management systems use knowledge of the degradation processes of certain engine components together with professional expert opinion to predict the Remaining Useful Life (RUL).

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Remaining Useful Life Estimation in Prognosis: An Uncertainty Propagation Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The estimation of remaining useful life is significant in the context of prognostics and health monitoring, and the prediction of remaining useful life is essential for online operations and decision-making.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Fractional Long-Range Dependence Model for Remaining Useful Life Estimation of Roller Bearings

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
Estimation of remaining useful life (RUL) of roller bearings is a prevalent problem for predictive maintenance in manufacturing. However, roller bearings are subject to a variety of factors during their operation.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Proactive engine maintenance in aviation using data-driven remaining useful life estimation techniques

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Applied Science
The precise forecasting of the Remaining Useful Life (RUL, expressed in hours) of aircraft engine-like systems using a synthetic dataset designed to mimic real engine degradation patterns is a key factor in setting up maintenance schedules that are cost ...
