The remineralization of EDTA-treated human dentine

open access: yes, 1999
The remineralization of whole human dentine treated with a neutral EDTA solution was investigated: the treatment periods were 15, 30 and 120 min. From the literature it is known that EDTA removes noncollagenous proteins (NCPs) from dentine powders.

Chemical agents to control biofilm formation in step 1 of care—Toothpastes and mouthwashes/concepts and challenges

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Maintaining optimal oral hygiene is important for overall oral care, ensuring the well‐being of teeth and their surrounding tissues. In addition, it promotes fresh breath and a pleasing smile. A key element of oral self‐care is the daily use of toothpaste during regular brushing.

Remineralizing performance of different materials on teeth hard tissues

open access: yes, 2019
The teeth hard tissues are mineralized structures constituted by enamel and dentin, mainly formed by inorganic components, such as hydroxyapatite. The mineralized structures cover and protect the pulp tissue, responsible for dentin formation, beside ...

Recent Advances in Dental Hard Tissue Remineralization

open access: yes, 2021
Karijes je najčešća kronična oralna bolest suvremenog svijeta. Etiologija je nastanka multifaktorska, a kao glavni čimbenici ističu se prehrambene navike pojedinca i demineralizirajuće djelovanje acidogenih bakterija.

Peri‐implantitis—Is it mainly a clinician‐initiated complication of implant therapy?

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim The high prevalence of peri‐implantitis is concerning, with a growing consensus that the majority of cases are complications initiated by clinician‐related errors rather than classic pathology. A primary predisposing factor for peri‐implantitis is exposure of the micro‐rough implant surfaces to the peri‐implant sulcus after treatment ...

Remineralization agents in dentistry

open access: yes, 2020
Iako se incidencija karijesa proteklih desetljeća mnogostruko smanjila, zemljama s manjim socioekonomskim razvojem karijes i dalje predstavlja javnozdravstveni problem. Radi se o najčešćoj, kroničnoj, nezaraznoj bolesti na čije faktore možemo djelovati,

On nitrogen fixation and preferential remineralization of phosphorus

open access: yes, 2012
Regional and global nitrogen fixation rates are often estimated from geochemical tracers related to N* (=NO3-16PO4). However the patterns of this tracer reflect the influence of numerous processes including nitrogen fixation, denitrification ...
