Remote Sensing Image Denoising via Low-Rank Tensor Approximation and Robust Noise Modeling

open access: yes, 2020
Noise removal is a fundamental problem in remote sensing image processing. Most existing methods, however, have not yet attained sufficient robustness in practice, due to more or less neglecting the intrinsic structures of remote sensing images and/or ...

Mechanoluminescent HOF Nanotransducers Enabled Sono‐Optogenetics in Parkinsonian Rats

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a mechanoluminescent system utilizing porous hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) as a toolkit for focused ultrasound‐triggered, non‐invasive light delivery to the deep brain in rats. This approach enables the specific activation of PV‐GPe neurons in dopamine‐depleted Parkinson's disease rat models, resulting in a comparable alleviation

Solution‐Processed Thin‐Film Transistors With Tunable Temporal Dynamics for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed CNT and CNT/P3HT ion‐gated transistors exhibit materials‐defined synaptic timescales: fast CNT devices for high‐frequency spiking and slow hybrid devices for temporal integration. Embedding these dynamics into coupled reservoir‐computing and spiking neural network simulations reveals that a Hybrid‐Reservoir / CNT‐SNN architecture ...

Designing Stable Periodic Magnetization Textures by Tailoring Anisotropies and Applying Geometrical Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores the possibility to design stable periodic magnetization textures by transforming a 2D film into a rolled‐up 3D architecture and back. In case of an isotropic exchange‐biased layer architecture, the magnetization encoded in the 3D state evolves into a spin‐spiral pattern with controlled periodicity after unrolling.

Enhancing Very High-Resolution Satellite Images At 15 cm: A Novel Pipeline With Synthetic Data and Single Image Superresolution

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Employing a two-step pipeline that encompasses an image-to-image translation and a superresolution (SR) network, we significantly enhance satellite images with a ground sample distance (GSD) of 30 cm to a superior 15 cm GSD.

A Lightweight CNN Based on Axial Depthwise Convolution and Hybrid Attention for Remote Sensing Image Dehazing

open access: yes
Hazy weather reduces contrast, narrows the dynamic range, and blurs the details of the remote sensing image. Additionally, color fidelity deteriorates, causing color shifts and image distortion, thereby impairing the utility of remote sensing data.
