NeoCast is a next‐generation, solvent‐free, non‐adhesive liquid embolic designed for indications where deep occlusion is desired (e.g., tumors and chronic subdural hematoma). This novel agent offers ideal embolic properties: injectability, controllability, excellent visibility, and biocompatibility.

Pathophysiological Roles of Aldosterone and Mineralocorticoid Receptor in the Kidney
Aldosterone, a steroid hormone, has traditionally been viewed as a key regulator of fluid and electrolyte homeostasis, as well as blood pressure, through the activation of mineralocorticoid receptor (MR).

Dithymoquinone as a novel inhibitor for 3-carboxy-4-methyl-5-propyl-2-furanpropanoic acid (CMPF) to prevent renal failure [PDF]
3-carboxy-4-methyl-5-propyl-2-furanpropanoic acid (CMPF) is a major endogenous ligand found in the human serum albumin (HSA) of renal failure patients. It gets accumulated in the HSA and its concentration in sera of patients may reflect the chronicity of renal failure [1-4].

Acute effects of glucagon-like peptide-1, GLP-19-36 amide, and exenatide on mesenteric blood flow, cardiovascular parameters, and biomarkers in healthy volunteers [PDF]
Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1, GLP-17-36amide) and its sister peptide glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2) influence numerous intestinal functions and GLP-2 greatly increases intestinal blood flow.

EFFECT OF PENTAZOCINE ON RENAL BLOOD FLOW
Twenty dogs (weight 8-14 kg) were anaesthetized with sodium pentobarbitone 25 mg per kg body weight and anaesthesia was maintained with nitrous oxide in oxygen. Respiration was controlled with a volume-limited respirator (PaCO2 4.7 +/- 0.4 KPa).

A pH‐responsive nanocomplex (PAFH) enhances photodynamic (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT) by addressing tumor hypoxia and heat resistance. Under laser irradiation, PAFH releases hypericin for singlet oxygen generation and apigenin to inhibit HSP‐90 and alleviate hypoxia.

The effect of ischemia on renal blood flow in the dog
Renal blood flow (RBF) and the distribution of cortical blood flow (microspheres) were measured in the dog after 90 min of total unilateral renal ischemia. RBF was 21% greater than control 2 min after release of the renal artery occlusion, and returned toward control 60 min later.
