Renal Blood Flow in Moderate Hypothermia

Archives of Surgery, 1960
Although there is general agreement that renal blood flow is depressed by body cooling, there is some disagreement concerning the extent of this alteration. These discrepancies may be related to the wide variation in the degree of hypothermia induced1,6,7,10,11,15and, more particularly, to the methods for measuring renal blood flow.13Some evidence has ...

Regional Renal Blood Flow in Ewes

American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1981
SUMMARY Regional blood flow to the kidneys was measured in 6 ewes by injecting carbonized microspheres (15 μm ± 5) labeled with 85Sr into the left ventricle. There was no significant (P > 0.25) difference in the mean arterial pressure before and after injection of the microspheres.

Renal Blood Flow during Acute Renal Failure in Man

Blood Purification, 2009
Background:In the critically ill, ischemia secondary to decreased renal blood flow (RBF) is believed to be central to the pathogenesis of acute renal failure (ARF); however, the scientific basis for this conclusion has not been systematically evaluated.

Measurement of renal medullary blood flow

Experientia, 1969

Renal blood flow autoregulation in blood pressure control

Current Opinion in Nephrology and Hypertension, 2002
Although the kidney strives to maintain its perfusion within tight boundaries, considerable blood flow fluctuations do occur. The reasons for this are the rather slow acting compensatory mechanisms of renal blood flow autoregulation, the effects of renal nerves, hormonal influences, etc.
