Abstract This chapter focuses on the reorganisation of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). It suggests that the goal of General Adviser on War-Time Organisation was not to break the organization, but to produce a tidy and acceptable pattern which would save the BBC from incessant intervention from the Treasury Department.
