We study the asymptotic behaviour of an infinite system of differential equations describing the expectations in a branching random walk. The original stochastic formulation was employed to describe the process of evolution of reversible drug resistance in cancer cells.

A random walk method for predicting percutaneous drug absorption pharmacokinetics was proposed. The profiles predicted by this method were compatible with those predicted by the analytical method. The random walk method is particularly useful for predicting complex processes such as repeated topical application of a drug.
