AI‐Enhanced Laser Manufacturing: A Social Life Cycle Perspective From the White Goods Industry
ABSTRACT Sustainable manufacturing transitions require companies to demonstrate not only environmental and economic benefits, but also measurable advances in corporate social responsibility (CSR). Therefore, we propose using a guideline‐based Social Life Cycle Assessment (S‐LCA) aligned with UNEP (2020) and ISO 14075 (2024) to evaluate the social ...

Tailoring surface structures for enhanced single‐droplet jumping condensation
Hierarchically structured superhydrophobic surfaces enable single‐droplet jumping during condensation, promoting continuous surface refreshment and enhanced heat transfer. By combining micro‐ and nano‐scale textures, the optimized design of micropillars enhances the frequency and efficiency of single‐droplet jumping events.

Fumigant toxicity and repellency effects of essential oil of Salvia mirzayanii on Callosobruchus maculatus (Col.: Bruchidae) and Tribolium confusum (Col.: Tenebrionidae) [PDF]
In an attempt to find a natural and safe method for the control of stored-product pests, insecticidal activity and repellency effect of essential oil from Salvia mirzayanii Rech. F. & Esfand. were investigated against one day old adults of Callosobruchus

Achievement of Transition Metal Chalcogenides/Oxides in Hydrogen Production by Seawater Electrolysis
Transition metal chalcogenides (TMCs)/oxides have shown great application potential in seawater splitting for hydrogen generation due to their adjustable electronic properties, abundant active sites, and excellent catalytic performance. ABSTRACT Under the impetus of global “dual carbon” goals, green hydrogen has become a key component of the future ...

Moisture variability resulting from water repellency in Dutch soils [PDF]
The present study suggests that many soils in the Netherlands, in natural as well as in agricultural areas, may be water repellent to some degree, challenging the common perception that soil water repellency is only an interesting aberration.

Electrode‐philic ether additives spontaneously assemble at the Zn/electrolyte interface to construct a dynamic hydrophobic liquid interphase. This adaptive interfacial layer repels water, suppresses hydrogen evolution and dendrite growth, expands the electrochemical stability window, and enables high‐performance aqueous zinc batteries with long‐term ...

Water repellency under natural conditions in sandy soils of southern Spain
The occurrence and consequences of fire-induced water repellency have been studied in several regions of Spain since 1989. The occurrence of water repellency formed under natural conditions, however, has only been described for a few areas in Spain since
