Cellular Identity Crisis: RD3 Loss Fuels Plasticity and Immune Silence in Progressive Neuroblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Researchers discovered that therapy‐induced loss of RD3 protein in neuroblastoma triggers a dangerous shift: cancer cells become more stem‐like, invasive, and resistant to treatment while evading immune detection. RD3 loss suppresses antigen presentation and boosts immune checkpoints, creating an immune‐silent environment.

The Construal of Midwives by Pregnant Women with a Body Mass Index Greater Than or Equal to 30 kg/m2 (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2): A Repertory Grid Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Objective To explore the construal of midwives by pregnant women with a body mass index greater than 30 kg/m2 (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2). Method Ten pregnant women with a BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 were recruited from antenatal clinics at a maternity hospital in the ...

Development and Structural Characterization of UTE‐156, a Covalent Inhibitor of the VCP/p97 AAA+ ATPase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The AAA+ ATPase Valosin‐containing protein (VCP/p97) regulates protein homeostasis by unfolding ubiquitinated substrates. Here, we describe UTE‐156, a novel irreversible covalent inhibitor that modifies Cys522 in the D2 ATPase motor domain. Although its pharmacochemical limitations preclude immediate therapeutic use, UTE‐156 serves as a valuable ...

A Guide for Spatial Omics Technologies: Innovation, Evaluation, and Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review presents a strategy‐centric framework for spatial omics technologies, organizing methods by how spatial information is experimentally encoded. It compares key performance trade‐offs across sequencing‐ and imaging‐based approaches, examines computational and practical limitations, and highlights biomedical applications. The analysis provides

Exploring consumer product construct systems with the repertory grid technique

open access: yesQualitative Market Research: An International Journal, 2000
Examines some of the applications of repertory grid technique and theory to qualitative market research. In particular, it shows how together they can be used to explore five basic components of the network of subjective meanings that consumers attach to their consumption experiences, what are termed here consumers’ product construct systems (PCSs ...

Rapid Proteome‐Wide Discovery of Protein–Protein Interactions With ppIRIS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ppIRIS is a lightweight deep learning framework for proteome‐wide protein–protein interaction prediction directly from sequence. By fusing evolutionary and structural embeddings with a regularized Siamese architecture, ppIRIS achieves state‐of‐the‐art accuracy across species, enables minute‐scale screening, and reveals biologically validated bacterial ...
