Replacing Human Input in Spam Email Detection Using Deep Learning

2022
The Covid-19 pandemic has been a driving force for a substantial increase in online activity and transactions across the globe. As a consequence, cyber-attacks, particularly those leveraging email as the preferred attack vector, have also increased exponentially since Q1 2020. Despite this, email remains a popular communication tool.

The parabigeminal nucleus is a source of “retinogeniculate replacement terminals” in mice that lack retinofugal input

Journal of Comparative Neurology, 2022
Abstract In the dorsal lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN) of mice that lack retinal input, a population of large terminals supplants the synaptic arrangements normally made by the missing retinogeniculate terminals. To identify potential sources of these “retinogeniculate replacement terminals,” we used mutant mice (

An input-output model for equipment replacement decisions

Engineering Costs and Production Economics, 1987
Abstract This paper provides an approach to equipment replacement decisions based on input-output analysis. Replacement decision is cast within the framework of production technology selection by examining the input-output requirements for the production system.

DeskWalk

Proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Advances in Mobile Computing & Multimedia, 2020
We propose DeskWalk, which is an exercise system that replaces key inputs with body movements. Prolonged sitting significantly compromises health. Previous studies have shown that walking and standing during sedentary work can reduce the negative effects of prolonged sitting. However, these movements interrupt the work of the user.

Digitizing Buttons: A Comparison of Digital Input Modalities to Replace Physical Buttons in Truck Cockpits

AHFE International, 2022
Commercial vehicle cockpits are, due to a high number of control elements, complex workplaces. To simplify the interaction, fewer buttons could only present currently relevant functions, which requires dynamic and therefore digital input modalities. While such modalities exist, their fitness for use in commercial vehicles has to be proven and compared.

Functional Description for a Replacement Input System

1986
Abstract : The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) processes a large and growing volume of documents. It adds more than 48,000 new documents a year to its data bases and processes almost as many change transactions. In the past 6 years DTIC has experienced at least a 30 percent increase in demands for its services without corresponding ...

A Change Impact Analysis Case Study: Replacing the Input Data Model of SoMoX

Softwaretechnik-Trends, 2013
Change impact analysis aims to provide insights about efforts and effects of a change to be expected, and to prevent missed adaptations. However, the benefit of applying an analysis in a given scenario is not clear. Only a few studies about change impact analysis approaches compare the actual effort spent implementing the change with the prediction of ...

Techniques for replacing characters that are garbled on input

Proceedings of the April 26-28, 1966, Spring joint computer conference on XX - AFIPS '66 (Spring), 1966
With the rapid increase in the availability of mass storage, we now find that there is an increasing need for massive data input. This input is requiring increasingly large volumes of data conversion to machine language. As this load expands, we find that we must pay more and more attention to the rigorous control of errors on data creation. This study
