Correct Fixed-capital Replacement in Input-output Growth Models

The Review of Economic Studies, 1974
Under constant technique defined by constant current 3 input-output and capital-capacity and inventory-output coefficients and constant lengths of fixed-capital lives, then, under steady growth, fixed capital comprises a set of balanced stocks which undergo " apparent radioactive decays" defined by the lengths of lives and the growth rate.

Input Rate as a Major Determinant of Furosemide Pharmacodynamics: Influence of Fluid Replacement and Hypoalbuminemia

Drug Metabolism and Disposition, 2000
To investigate how the response to a bolus and an infusion of furosemide is modulated by the rate of fluid replacement and by hypoalbuminemia, rabbits received 5 mg/kg of furosemide as a bolus or infused over 60 min, whereas diuresis was replaced with 13, 121, or 238 ml/h NaCl 0.9%/glucose 5% (50:50).

The Economic Importance of Replacement H2A Foreign Farm Labor Inputs

2019
This study provides empirical support for the H2A workers‘ importance as replacement for former undocumented farm workers. A county-level instrumental variable estimation identified determinants of the farmers’ H2A labor demand and its relative value in enhancing business growth.

A fast simultaneous input vector generation and gate replacement algorithm for leakage power reduction

Proceedings of the 43rd annual conference on Design automation - DAC '06, 2006
Input vector control (IVC) technique is based on the observation that the leakage current in a CMOS logic gate depends on the gate input state, and a good input vector is able to minimize the leakage when the circuit is in the sleep mode. The gate replacement technique is a very effective method to further reduce the leakage current.

NWS 13: NetCDF Replacement for NWS12 Met Inputs and Application

2020
Motivation for NWS=12 replacement A major source of error in ADCIRC can come from the accuracy and representation of the wind and pressure fields. Additional Motivation • Replicate NWS12 features and more • Single-file, wind/pressure/all-grids • Multiple grid overlays • Moving storm-centered grids • Grids that can change size • Curvilinear ...

An Input-Training Neural Network Approach for Gross Error Detection and Sensor Replacement

Chemical Engineering Research and Design, 1998
Input-Training Neural Networks (IT-nets) are a nonlinear method for data dimensionality reduction. Starting from a large set of original variables (sensor measurements), an IT-net is trained to determine a smaller set of latent variables and a (neural-network based) model for reproducing the original variables from the latent ones. IT-nets achieve this

Analysis/simulation method to determine robustness of inputs and outputs [line replaceable unit]

Gateway to the New Millennium. 18th Digital Avionics Systems Conference. Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH37033), 2003
A method is shown to allow circuit analysis to model Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) inputs and outputs and the connected loads and sources. This model can then determine if LRU inputs or outputs will be damaged under normal operation or during electromagnetic interference (EMI), high intensity radiated fields (HIRF), lightning or power quality tests used ...

Price Discrimination in Input Markets When Retailers Have Replacement Threats: Empirical Evidence

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2019
Price discrimination in input markets may be driven by differences in buyers’ (i) demands, (ii) costs, or (iii) ‘replacement threats,’ in which a buyer obtains favorable pricing by threatening to source an input from a competitor. I analyze the importance of differences in buyers’ replacement threats for explaining differences in terms of wholesale ...

The 1987 Washington State Input-Output Study (Replaces corrupted copy)

1993
The study presents an input-output model of the economy of Washington State as of 1987. Industries are grouped into 62 categories for the model. The text describes the conventions used, the estimation of the gross-flows table and the derivation of various matrices useful in impact analysis.
