A replicated single generation test of a restricted selections index in poultry

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1978
Predicted and realized responses in a single generation of mass selection for an index and for its component traits were compared. The index included the log transformed traits determining egg mass in chickens to 40 weeks of age (days tested from sexual maturity, egg weight, rate of lay). The index was restricted to allow no increase in log days tested.

The psychometric properties of the Index of Social Competence: A British replication

The Irish Journal of Psychology, 1993
The Index of Social Competence (McConkey & Walsh, 1982), is an assessment checklist covering 15 adaptive behaviour domains, used in surveys of service requirements. The instrument was administered to 427 people with learning difficulties living in hospital, community residential facilities and in the family home as part of a wider investigation into ...

An index to publisher quality revisited: a partial replication

Library Acquisitions: Practice & Theory, 1993
Abstract A replication of the Calhoun/Bracken 1983 study of publishers listed in Choice's annual Outstanding Academic Books was conducted. Data were gathered for the years 1988–1992 and compared with the results of the Calhoun/Bracken analysis. The results show that several of the commercial and university publishers that had been prominent in 1983 ...

A Learning-Based Linear Replicator for Hedge Fund Indexes

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2009
There has been great interest in creating portfolios using common liquid instruments to replicate hedge fund returns. In a recent article, Hasanhodzic and Lo (2007) demonstrate that a factor-based approach based on a linear regression model with 5 tradable risk factors can adequately replicate monthly returns of 1,610 hedge funds in 1986 to 2005.

OSPFv2 Extensions for Bit Index Explicit Replication (BIER).

RFC, 2018
Bit Index Explicit Replication (BIER) is an architecture that provides multicast forwarding through a "BIER domain" without requiring intermediate routers to maintain multicast related per-flow state. Neither does BIER require an explicit tree-building protocol for its operation.

Multi-scale tracking dynamics and optimal index replication

Applied Economics Letters, 2013
We investigate the index tracking model with the analysis and optimization of tracking dynamic properties. The return deviations between tracking portfolio and the index are first decomposed into several components with different time-scale features. Our model then filters out components at low frequencies. Our approach is implemented to five data sets

Rurality in England and Wales 1981: A replication of the 1971 index

Regional Studies, 1986
Cloke P. and Edwards G. (1986) Rurality in England and Wales 1981: a replication of the 1971 index, Reg. Studies 20, 289–306. In a previous issue of Regional Studies a methodology for an index of rurality was developed using principal components analysis on selected variables reflecting rural or non-rural characteristics in 1971.

Optimal Dynamic Range Searching inNon-replicating Index Structures

1999
In this paper, we examine the complexity of multi-dimensional range searching in non-replicating index structures. Such nonreplicating structures achieve low storage costs and fast update times due to lack of multiple copies. We first obtain a lower bound for range searching in non-replicating structures.
