Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Two-particle response functions are a centerpiece of both experimental and theoretical quantum many-body physics. Yet, due to their size and discontinuity structure, they are challenging to handle numerically.

Boolean Representation of Manifolds and Functions
It is shown that a smooth n dimensional manifold with a boundary in R^n admits a Boolean representation in terms of closed half spaces defined by the tangent hyperplanes at the points on its boundary. A similar result is established for smooth functions on closed convex domains in R^n.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Certain Logarithmically N-Alternating Monotonic Functions Involving Gamma and q-Gamma Functions
In the paper, three basic properties of the logarithmically N-alternating monotonic functions are established and the monotonicity results of some functions involving the gamma and q-gamma functions, which are obtained in [W. E. Clark and M. E.

The Representation of Baire Functions [PDF]
Gelfand [1]1 has shown that a real Banach algebra in which for every element we have ||x2|| = ||x||2, is isomorphic and isometric to the ring continuous functions on some compact Hausdorff space. Since he was concerned with an abstract Banach algebra,

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
