Almost Representations and Asymptotic Representations of Discrete Groups
We define for discrete finitely presented groups a new property related to their asymptotic representations. Namely we say that a groups has the property AGA if every almost representation generates an asymptotic representation.

Awareness of climate change and of the urgent need to change our lifestyles is a major challenge. Understanding the mechanisms that govern the evolution of our collective representations is an interesting lever for action for public policies, in that it ...

This paper introduces combinatorial representations, which generalise the notion of linear representations of matroids. We show that any family of subsets of the same cardinality has a combinatorial representation via matrices. We then prove that any graph is representable over all alphabets of size larger than some number depending on the graph.

Structure and Representation Theory for Double Group of Four-Dimensional Cubic Group [PDF]
Hypercubic groups in any dimension are defined and their conjugate classifications and representation theories are derived. Double group and spinor representation are introduced. A detailed calculation is carried out on the structures of four-dimensional

Degenerate Series Representations of the $q$-Deformed Algebra ${\rm so}'_q(r,s)$
The q-deformed algebra ${\rm so}'_q(r,s)$ is a real form of the q-deformed algebra $U'_q({\rm so}(n,\mathbb{C}))$, $n=r+s$, which differs from the quantum algebra $U_q({\rm so}(n,\mathbb{C}))$ of Drinfeld and Jimbo.

Natural hazards and urban policies in Mexico City
Mexico City is located at an altitude of over 2 000 metres where it occupies an attractive but hazardous site hemmed in by the Sierra Madre and volcanic mountain ranges. The site is one of the most disaster-prone locations in the world, threatened by a ...

Representation is representation of similarities
Advanced perceptual systems are faced with the problem of securing a principled (ideally, veridical) relationship between the world and its internal representation. I propose a unified approach to visual representation, addressing the need for superordinate and basic-level categorization and for the identification of specific instances of familiar

Almost all representations considered in computable analysis are partial. We provide arguments in favor of total representations (by elements of the Baire space). Total representations make the well known analogy between numberings and representations closer, unify some terminology, simplify some technical details, suggest interesting open questions ...

Projective representation of k-Galilei group
The projective representations of k-Galilei group G_k are found by contracting the relevant representations of k-Poincare group. The projective multiplier is found.
