The Spatial Representation of Angles
We investigated whether angle magnitude, similarly to numerical quantities (i.e., the spatial-numerical association of response codes effect), is associated to the side of response execution. In addition, we investigated whether this association has the properties of a spatially oriented mental line, since angles are taught in a right-to-left ...

Qualitative Spatial Representation for the Humanities [PDF]
‘Qualitative spatial reasoning and representation’ is a range of techniques developed in Artificial Intelligence to meet the need for a computational treatment of qualitative spatial relations. Examples of such relations include ‘next to’, ‘overlapping’, ‘to the left of’, ‘separate from’, ‘including’, and so on.

Spatial Representations of Words and Nonwords
The first two experiments investigated whether the representations of words, besides being unitary, are also spatial in nature. Subjects were required to search for target letters in either five-letter words or five-letter nonwords. They were instructed to press the right-side key for one target and the left-side key for the other target.

Spatial Representation for Navigation in Animats [PDF]
This article considers the problem of spatial representation for animat navigation systems. It is proposed that the global navigation task, or "wayfinding, " is best supported by multiple interacting subsystems, each of which builds its own partial representation of relevant world knowledge.
