Cardiac‐Derived ECM Microspheres for Enhanced hiPSC‐CMs Maturation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cardiac extracellular matrix microspheres derived from decellularized porcine heart provide a biomimetic 3D microenvironment for human induced pluripotent stem cell–derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC‐CMs). This platform supports short‐ and long‐term culture, enhances structural organization, and promotes electrophysiological and functional maturation of ...

Interfacial Bioengineering of Dynamic Networks Hybrid Hydrogel for Programmed Intervention in Oral Precancerous Epithelial States

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a dual‐bioinspired hydrogel, MSA@PGel (macrophage membrane‐coated and salvianolic acid B/5‐aminolevulinic acid co‐loaded liposomes embedded in a polydopamine‐based gel), that integrates macrophage membrane‐mediated active targeting and mussel‐inspired wet adhesion for programmed intervention in oral precancerous lesions.

PWOs repress gene transcription by regulating chromatin structures in Arabidopsis

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research
Abstract PWWP-DOMAIN INTERACTOR OF POLYCOMBS (PWO) family proteins play a vital role in regulating plant development. However, the molecular mechanisms of how PWOs regulate chromatin structure is elusive. Our data show that the PWO1 binding sites are enriched with positive modifications but exclusive with H3K27me3.

ETV2 Mediated Differentiation of Human Pluripotent Stem Cells Results in Functional Endothelial Cells for Engineering Advanced Vascularized Microphysiological Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A robust method to generate functional human iPSC‐derived endothelial cells using inducible ETV2 expression. These cells self‐organize into stable, lumenized microvascular networks within microfluidic chips, surpassing conventional differentiation methods.

Selective glucocorticoid receptor properties of GSK866 analogs with cysteine reactive warheads [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Synthetic glucocorticoids (GC) are the mainstay therapy for treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory disorders. Due to the high adverse effects associated with long-term use, GC pharmacology has focused since the nineties on more selective GC ligand ...

A Modular Bioinstructive Platform Reveals Mechanistic Insights into Additive‐Free, Topography‐Driven Osteogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered microparticle topographies direct human mesenchymal stem cell osteogenesis without biochemical additives. This osteogenic commitment is driven by canonical Hedgehog signaling and followed by temporal IGF‐II engagement. Two‐photon polymerization demonstrates spatial control, enabling the engineering of topographical gradients that pattern ...

A New 3D Colon on a Chip to Decipher the Influence of Mechanical Forces on the Physiological Cellular Ecosystem

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
To dissect how mechanical forces influence intestinal physiology, we developed a stretchable 3D colon‐on‐chip that integrates tunable topography, stiffness and peristalsis‐like motion within a physiologically relevant microenvironment. We showed that stretching is a dominant factor governing epithelial behavior, markedly enhancing proliferation and ...

Anarquistas de Ayer y de Hoy. De la identitad antifascista en la guerra civil española a la Memoria actual

open access: yesDiacronie. Studi di Storia Contemporanea, 2011
The article starts from the idea that there is a common aspect between today and yesterday anarchism, which is its direct opposition to the “voluntary servitude” and the claim of freedom against any kind of authority and tyranny. The transmission of this
