The reproductive pattern and efficiency of female buffaloes
Animal Reproduction Science, 2000Buffaloes play a prominent role in rural livestock production, particularly in Asia. Reproductive efficiency is the primary factor affecting productivity and is hampered in female buffalo by (i) inherent late maturity, (ii) poor estrus expression in summer, (iii) distinct seasonal reproductive patterns, and (iv) prolonged intercalving intervals ...

Reproductive patterns in psychotic patients
Schizophrenia Research, 2010Longitudinal epidemiological studies have shown worse outcomes in patients with psychotic disorder than in the general population. The reproductive pattern may be seen as a measure of outcome following psychotic disorder onset, and it may be measured as the rate of child births where the rate is a proxy measure of well-being.To examine reproductive ...

Reproductive patterns and thalassaemia major
Journal of Biosocial Science, 1986SummaryA study of families affected by thalassaemia major demonstrated that before antenatal diagnosis became an option, premature curtailment of reproduction was the most common parental response to their understanding of the genetic implications of the diagnosis. Subsequently parents of younger patients used antenatal diagnosis to meet or almost meet

Patterns of Mammalian Reproduction
Nature, 1947REPRODUCTION is a branch of biology in which the methods of the naturalist and the anatomist have contributed considerably to an understanding of basic physiological processes. The comparative study of breeding seasons has given valuable clues to environmental and other factors which condition their variation.

Reproductive patterns and reproductive pathologies of stray bitches in the tropics
Theriogenology, 2007The objectives of this study were to determine the annual reproductive pattern and to estimate the frequency of reproductive pathologies in female mongrel stray dogs under tropical conditions. Reproductive patterns of pedigree cats
Australian Veterinary Journal, 1987SUMMARY: A survey of Brisbane catteries was carried out to investigate reproductive patterns of pedigree cats. The overall sex ratio at birth was 100 males to 92 females. There was a significant seasonal

Improving the reproduction of diffraction patterns
Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1975Optimum contrast in the printing of electron diffraction patterns is achieved by measuring the background intensity using a microdensitometer and constructing a suitable dodger disc. Comparative results obtained by simulating previously published methods illustrate the improvement.
