Individual variation in reproductive success in the wandering Albatross
To conserve threatened species it is important to protect the productive individuals, and so I aimed to identify factors accounting for individual-level variation in long-term reproductive success.

Performance-based habitat choice can drive rapid adaptive divergence and reproductive isolation
Theory predicts that performance-based habitat choice1,2,3—where individuals select environments based on their local performance—should be widespread in nature and significantly influence ecological and evolutionary processes, including local adaptation,

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Many species of birds line their nests with feathers, presumably because of the insulative qualities of feathers and because feathers may act as a barrier between nest parasites and nestlings.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

The Gonad Maturity of Female Osteochillus vittatus in the presence of Ascorbic Acid
The fish’s reproduction status is affected by both fed compositions and vitamins intake lead to determine improvement of eggs quality as well as fish production. The presence of Ascorbic Acid (AA) in the cultivation ponds, might accelerate female’s gonad

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
