Origins of paradiplomacy of the Republic of Tatarstan
This paper examines the historical foundations of paradiplomatic activities of the Republic of Tatarstan. It addresses the issues of the origins of parallel diplomacy in the region. The authors question the widespread academic notion that regional diplomacy emerged only in the 1990s.

Abstract This paper discusses the economic effects of a potential cut‐off of the German economy from Russian energy imports. We use a multi‐sector open‐economy model and a simplified approach based on an aggregate production function to estimate the effects of a shock to energy inputs.
