On the Distinction of Functional and Quality Requirements in Practice [PDF]
Requirements are often divided into functional requirements (FRs) and quality requirements (QRs). However, we still have little knowledge about to which extent this distinction makes sense from a practical perspective. In this paper, we report on a survey we conducted with 103 practitioners to explore whether and, if so, why they handle requirements ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Specifying changes only - A case study on delta requirements
S.45-58[Context and motivation] Requirements engineering methods and examples presented in textbooks and scientific publications usually treat software which is developed - and therefore specified - from scratch.

Requirements for the library collection quality
The author understands the quality of products and services as the degree of proper characteristics correspondence to certain requirements. Requirements to the library collection (LC) quality are defined by consumers, founders and library patrons.

What Is Quality? A Management Discipline and the Translation Industry Get Acquainted
One way to answer the question “What is translation quality?” is to start with a framework put forward by Garvin (1984). That framework describes five approaches to determining quality: Transcendent, Product-Based, User-Based, Production-Based ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Model Based Development of Quality-Aware Software Services
Modelling languages and development frameworks give support for functional and structural description of software architectures. But quality-aware applications require languages which allow expressing QoS as a first-class concept during architecture ...
