Numerical Investigation of Hydraulic Fracture Propagation Morphology in the Conglomerate Reservoir
The random distribution of gravels makes the conglomerate reservoir highly heterogeneous. A stress concentration occurs at the gravel-matrix interfaces owing to the embedded gravel and affects the local mechanical response significantly, making it ...

Dimension of reservoir computers [PDF]
A reservoir computer is a complex dynamical system, often created by coupling nonlinear nodes in a network. The nodes are all driven by a common driving signal. In this work, three dimension estimation methods, false nearest neighbor, covariance dimension, and Kaplan-Yorke dimension, are used to estimate the dimension of the reservoir dynamical system.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Self-charging metering and dispensing device for fluids [PDF]
A self-metering and dispensing device for fluids obtained from a pressurized fluid supply is discussed. Tubing and valving means permit the introduction of fluid into and discharge from a closed cylindrical reservoir.
