Quality and the safety of reservoirs
Dams and ReservoirsArising from the Independent Reservoir Safety Review Report written by Professor David Balmforth and published in March 2021, work is being done to identify approaches to assess the quality and consistency of inspection reports and annual statements.

Reservoir water quality: a case from Jordan
Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, 2018Jordan relies heavily on reservoirs building and development to cope with water supply challenges, where monitoring and assessment of reservoir water quality are critically important for the sustainable use of these water supplies. Mujib Dam is an important water supply source in central western Jordan.

Water quality in guanting reservoir
Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, 1986The concentration of phenol, cyanide, As, Hg, Cr, Cu, Pb, Zn, and F in the Guanting reservoir water has been studied. The analysis shows that the water quality in the reservoir can be divided into three periods, namely 1972–1973, 1974–1978, and 1978–1983. In recent years, the water quality is fairly good.

Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, 2011
Phytoplankton and water quality of Marathonas drinking-water Reservoir were examined for the first time. During the study period (July-September 2007), phytoplankton composition was indicative of eutrophic conditions although phytoplankton biovolume was low (max. 2.7 mm³ l⁻¹).

Geologic Controls on Reservoir Quality
2013Abstract Reservoir quality controls the storage, distribution, and flow of fluids within a reservoir. Porosity and permeability are key parameters that are readily measured on rock samples and from well logs; with calibration, porosity can be mapped from 3D seismic surveys.

Diagenesis and reservoir quality prediction
Reviews of Geophysics, 1995The modern concept of ”diagenesis“ was introduced by Walther one hundred years ago to encompass the postdepositional processes that affect sediments from deposition to low‐grade metamorphism. Since Walther (1893), diagenetic studies have been concerned with an extraordinary variety of chemical and physical interactions, each of which has the potential ...

Deterioration of water quality in large distribution reservoirs (open reservoirs)
Journal AWWA, 1983The quality of water in open, finished‐water reservoirs of three distribution systems was monitored in order to ascertain the degree to which water quality deteriorates during storage in the reservoirs. Data are presented from monitoring programs conducted by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the Seattle (Wash.) Water Department ...

P085 Impact on reservoir modeling of lateral facies changes and reservoir quality in aeolian-fluvial reservoirs. ANDREA MOSCARIELLO 1 & IAN GOODALL 2 Abstract 1 Accurate subsurface geological models that provide a realistic understanding of the lateral variation and distribution of facies beyond well control are key to develop effectively reservoirs ...

Control of Reservoir Water Quality
1990It is possible to use simple treatment methods to make water from impoundments suitable as a drinking water supply if the catchment area is used primarily for forestry and is sparsely populated. The higher the population density and the more extensive the area used for agricultural purposes, the greater the burden of communal and agricultural ...

Assessment of sediment quality in reservoir
2001The assessment of sediment quality in reservoir must take into account the different situations caused by the suspension events. By laboratory experiments, a heavy metal contaminated sediment has been submitted to a " resupension-settling " sequence. Toxicity and physicochemistry of the sediment have been analyzed during time and compared to the same ...
