Influencing Factor Analysis on the Anomalously Low-Friction Effect in the Block Rock Mass
According to the instability failure of the deep rock mass, a superposition block model of anomalously low-friction effect was established. The numerical results were compared with the previous experiment, which verifies the feasibility and effectiveness

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Displacement of the Residual Liver Cavity in Laparoscopic Echinococcectomy
Aim: This article aimed to investigate the analysis of various methods for eliminating the residual liver cavity after laparoscopic echinococcectomy in patients. Methods: The authors used the following methods of eliminating the residual cavity: omentoplasty (36.8%), abdominalization (30%), drainage of the residual cavity (26.2%), and a combination of ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Experimental investigation of laminar and turbulent displacement of residual oil film
AbstractResidual oil films on pipe walls are a common occurrence in industrial processes, and their presence can significantly impact system efficiency and performance. However, the mechanisms that govern oil film removal by an immiscible displacing fluid from the internal walls of pipes under different flow regimes, including laminar and turbulent ...
