Hyperbolic Balance Laws: Residual Distribution, Local and Global Fluxes
This paper describes a class of scheme named "residual distribution schemes" or "fluctuation splitting schemes". They are a generalization of Roe's numerical flux in fluctuation form. The so-called multidimensional fluctuation schemes have historically first been developed for steady homogeneous hyperbolic systems.

Residual Flux Density Measurement Method of Single-Phase Transformer Core Based on Time Constant
Residual flux density in the single-phase transformer core can dramatically increase inrush current when the transformer is energized. To reduce inrush current, it is necessary to study residual flux density measurement.

Mechanism and Method for Residual Flux Detection of Transformer Cores Based on Different Polarities Response Currents [PDF]
This paper proposes a residual flux detection method based on the different polarities of response currents. When a positive–negative alternating DC voltage is loaded, the direction of the residual flux can be determined by the difference between the ...

T-PHOT version 2.0: improved algorithms for background subtraction, local convolution, kernel registration, and new options [PDF]
We present the new release v2.0 of T-PHOT, a publicly available software package developed to perform PSF-matched, prior-based, multiwavelength deconfusion photometry of extragalactic fields. New features included in the code are presented and discussed:

Revised eddy covariance flux calculation methodologies – effect on urban energy balance [PDF]
Eddy covariance (EC) measurements of turbulent fluxes of momentum, sensible heat and latent heat – in addition to net radiation measurements – were conducted for three consecutive years in an urban environment: Helsinki, Finland.

The spontaneous combustion of residual coal in the gob seriously threatens the safety of coal mining. Injecting CO2 into the gob not only prevents the residual coal from spontaneous combustion but also realizes CO2 storage in the mined areas.

Surface and boundary layer exchanges of volatile organic compounds, nitrogen oxides and ozone during the GABRIEL campaign [PDF]
We present an evaluation of sources, sinks and turbulent transport of nitrogen oxides, ozone and volatile organic compounds (VOC) in the boundary layer over French Guyana and Suriname during the October 2005 GABRIEL campaign by simulating observations ...

Tentative detection of the gravitational magnification of type Ia supernovae [PDF]
The flux from distant type Ia supernovae (SN) is likely to be amplified or de-amplified by gravitational lensing due to matter distributions along the line-of-sight.

Correlations in the three-dimensional Lyman-alpha forest contaminated by high column density absorbers [PDF]
Correlations measured in three dimensions in the Lyman-alpha forest are contaminated by the presence of the damping wings of high column density (HCD) absorbing systems of neutral hydrogen (HI; having column densities $N(\mathrm{HI}) > 1.6\times10^{17}\,\
