Herbicidal Residues on Crested Wheatgrass
Weed Science, 1968The effects of residues of 16 herbicides used to control downy brome (Bromus tectorum L.) were studied in the greenhouse. Crested wheatgrass (Agropyron desertorum (Fisch. ex Link) Schult.) was planted in soils collected from field plots sprayed 1 to 4 years previously.

A novel detection scheme for herbicidal residues
Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 1995Abstract It is relatively simple to determine the growth rate of a microorganism culture, minute-by-minute, by monitoring the CO2 content of an air stream that has passed through the culture at a constant rate. Any change in the growth rate caused by the addition of a toxicant is readily detectable.

Effects of Corn Residue and Herbicide Placement on Herbicide Runoff Losses
Transactions of the ASAE, 1982ABSTRACT RAINFALL simulation was used to determine the ef-fects of corn residue on the soil surface, and her-bicide placement relative to it, on herbicide runoff losses. The herbicides propachlor, atrazine, and alachlor were applied above or below residue to plots with 0, 375, 750, and 1500 kg/ha corn residue. A 2-h rain of 127 mm was simulated.
