Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

Optimizing option pricing: Exact and approximate solutions for the time-fractional Ivancevic model
This research investigates the time fractional Ivancevic option pricing model and presents two distinct solution methods: the invariant subspace method for obtaining exact solutions and the residual power series method for generating approximate ...

A residual power series technique for solving Boussinesq–Burgers equations
AbstractIn this paper, a residual power series method (RPSM) is combining Taylor’s formula series with residual error function, and is investigated to find a novel analytical solution of the coupled strong system nonlinear Boussinesq-Burgers equations according to the time.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Solving Boundary-Layer Problems by Residual-Power-Series Method
<p><span lang="EN-US">In this paper, the so-called residual-power-series (RPS) method is presented for solving nonlinear boundary-layer equations. The RPS method provides a single unified treatment for the linear and nonlinear terms in the equations.

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.
