Definition of Residue Theorem and its Basic Applications

open access: yesHighlights in Science, Engineering and Technology, 2023
This paper explains the fundamentality of residue theorem in complex analysis integration termed contour integral. It also illustrates the importance of this theorem, followed by applying it in both mathematics and other fields where several typical examples coming from different fields are chosen.

New recursive residue formulas for the topological expansion of the Cauchy Matrix Model

open access: yes, 2010
In a recent work [1] we consider the topological expansion for the non-mixed observables (including the free energy) for the formal Cauchy matrix model. The only restriction in [1] was the fact that all the branch points have to be simple.

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Physical Layer Security for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Systems by Alternating Orthogonal Space-Time Block Codes

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, 2020
Algorithms are provided to build a large set of unique complex-valued orthogonal space-time block codes (STBCs) from a known or standard STBC. A physical layer security (PLS) scheme is proposed to take advantage of this set by alternating the STBC in use

Survival Outcomes and Complications Among Canadian Children With Retinoblastoma: A Population‐Based Report From CYP‐C

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

Residual Disease Predicts Outcomes after Definitive Resection for Incidental Gallbladder Cancer [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American College of Surgeons, 2014
Residual disease (RD) at definitive resection of incidental gallbladder cancer (IGBCA) influences outcome, but its clinical relevance with respect to anatomic site is incompletely characterized.Consecutive patients with IGBCA undergoing re-exploration from 1998 to 2009 were identified; those submitted to a complete resection were analyzed.
