The Giant Flare of 1998 August 27 from SGR 1900+14: II. Radiative Mechanism and Physical Constraints on the Source

open access: yes, 2001
(ABBREVIATED) The extraordinary 1998 August 27 giant flare places strong constraints on the physical properties of its source, SGR 1900+14. We make detailed comparisons of the published data with the magnetar model.

Oral Bioinspired Peroxisome‐Engineered Probiotics for Modulating Gut Microbiota Homeostasis and Alleviating Cardiac Chemotherapy Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed an oral bioinspired peroxisome‐engineered probiotic (BPEP) by anchoring lipid‐encapsulated ruthenium nanozymes onto Escherichia coli Nissle 1917, utilizing probiotics to deliver nanozymes to the intestinal barrier for reactive oxygen species/reactive nitrogen species elimination, tight junction restoration, and gut microbiota ...

How to compute the constant term of a power of a Laurent polynomial efficiently [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present an algorithm for efficient computation of the constant term of a power of a multivariate Laurent polynomial. The algorithm is based on univariate interpolation, does not require the storage of intermediate data and can be easily parallelized ...

Nonequilibrium behaviors of 3D Heisenberg model in the Swendsen-Wang algorithm

open access: yes, 2015
Recently Y. N. showed that the nonequilibrium critical relaxation of the 2D Ising model from the perfectly-ordered state in the Wolff algorithm is described by the stretched-exponential decay, and found a universal scaling scheme to connect ...

Learnable Diffusion Framework for Mouse V1 Neural Decoding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce Sensorium‐Viz, a diffusion‐based framework for reconstructing high‐fidelity visual stimuli from mouse primary visual cortex activity. By integrating a novel spatial embedding module with a Diffusion Transformer (DiT) and a synthetic‐response augmentation strategy, our model outperforms state‐of‐the‐art fMRI‐based baselines, enabling robust

Overflow Detection in Residue Number System, Moduli Set {2n-1,2n,2n+1} [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Computer Engineering and Technology, 2016
Residue Number System (RNS) is a non-weighted number system for integer number arithmetic, which is based on the residues of a number to a certain set of numbers called module set.

CTBPro: A Next‐Generation Cholera Toxin Subunit B‐Based Neuroanatomical Tracer With Superior Brightness, Stability, and Sensitivity for Enhanced Neural Circuit Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CTBPro is a next‐generation cholera toxin B–based tracer engineered by fusing CTB to the ultra‐stable fluorescent protein mBaojin. Exhibiting markedly enhanced molar brightness, CTBPro enables high‐fidelity neuronal labeling across multiple administration routes.

A Division Algorithm in a Redundant Residue Number System Using Fractions

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The residue number system (RNS) is widely used for data processing. However, division in the RNS is a rather complicated arithmetic operation, since it requires expensive and complex operators at each iteration, which requires a lot of hardware and time.

Semiconducting Polymer Nanoparticles Enable Light‐Controlled Bidirectional Modulation of Nitric Oxide in Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bimodal modulation of nitric oxide in endothelial cells is achieved by light‐sensitive polymer nanoparticles. In dark, P3HT/PEDOT:PSS NPs boost intracellular ·NO, upregulate both endothelial and induced nitric oxide synthase, and drive a metabolic shift toward glycolysis.

Efficient programmable power‐of‐two scaler for the three‐moduli set {2

open access: yesETRI Journal, 2020
Scaling is an important operation because of the iterative nature of arithmetic processes in digital signal processors (DSPs). In residue number system (RNS)–based DSPs, scaling represents a performance bottleneck based on the complexity of inter‐modulo ...
