Waste Management Research, 1997 近年, 市町村が管理する埋立地では, 埋立物の主体が従来の生ごみから焼却残渣に変化してきている。さらに, 焼却残渣中の水溶性カルシウムや塩素の量が多くなっている。これらのことを反映して浸出水処理ではカルシウムスケールや塩腐食が問題となっており, 一部では放流先での塩害が心配される。そこで, これまでの調査研究の成果を整理してカルシウムや塩分による障害の状況・対策について概説した。また, 焼却残渣中に含まれるダイオキシン類について浸出水処理施設における挙動や処理技術についても概説した。
