Viscous behavior of resin composite cements

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 2021
The objective of this study was to analyze the viscous behavior during setting reaction of resin composite cements and how it is influenced by temperature. Viscous properties during auto-polymerization at 23°C of three adhesive (Panavia V5 [PV5]; RelyX Ultimate [RUL]; Multilink Automix [MLA]) and three self-adhesive (Panavia SA plus [PSA]; RelyX Unicem

The bonding durability of resin cements [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry, 2007
4종의 레진시멘트를 통한 상아질과 간접 레진 수복물 간의 인장결합강도를 열순환 시효처리 여부에 따라 측정하여 비교하고, 주사전자현미경 관찰을 통하여 각 레진시멘트의 접착 내구성을 평가하고자 시행하였다. 48개의 건전한 제3대구치의 상아질 표면을 평탄하게 노출시키고 #320 grit Sic Paper로 연마하였다. 복합레진 블록을 제작하여 #600 grit Sic Paper로 연마한 후에 접착면을 Sandblast로 처리하였다. 각각의 레진시멘트로 제조사 지침에 따라 적용하여 복합레진 블록을 상아질 표면에 접착하였다. 이후 제작된 시편을 열순환시키지 않거나, 1,000회, 5,000회 열순환 시킨 후 ( $5^{\circ}C\;

Indirect Resin Onlay Cemented with Self-adhesive Resin Cement: A Comprehensive Clinical Overview

open access: yesWorld Journal of Dentistry, 2012
ABSTRACTAdvances in adhesive technology and esthetic dental materials have permitted clinicians to perform conservative preparation of the dentition for onlay restorations. Indirect resin onlays are a great alternative to dental crowns for reestablishment the function and esthetic in teeth with great destruction.Key messagesIndirect resin onlay is ...

Clinical Evaluation of Indirect Composite Resin Restorations Cemented with Different Resin Cements.

open access: yesThe journal of adhesive dentistry, 2016
To clinically evaluate the performance of indirect composite resin restorations cemented with conventional and self-adhesive resin cements over a 12-month period.Ten patients fulfilled all the inclusion criteria. Twenty-four composite resin restorations were performed using an indirect technique and cemented with a resin cement (RelyX ARC) or a self ...

Sealing Ability of Alkaline Endodontic Cements versus Resin Cements [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials, 2017
Penetration of oral bacteria through root fillings leads to their long term failure. Dimensionally stable alkaline cements have been developed. A saliva challenge model was used to compare resistance to bacterial penetration of these alkaline cements to conventional root fillings that combine gutta percha (GP) with epoxy resin sealers.

EFFECTS OF DESENSITIZERS ON RESIN CEMENT BONDING

open access: yesAtatürk Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Dergisi, 2020
ABSTRACT Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to determine how pretreatment with desensitizers affects micro-tensile bond strength between dentin and self-etch resin cement (SEC). Materials and Methods: The occlusal surfaces of extracted teeth were abraded with a diamond bur to the dentin layer and divided into 5 equal groups (n = 20); G1 ...

Bonding to zirconia with resin cements

open access: yesThe Journal of The Korean Dental Association, 2011
The introduction of zirconia-based materials to the dental field broadened the design and application limits of, all-ceramic restorations. Most ceramic restorations are adhesively luted to the prepared tooth, however, resin bonding to zirconia components is less reliable than those to other dental ceramic systems.

Impact of multiple firings and resin cement type on shear bond strength between zirconia and resin cements

open access: yesThe Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics, 2020
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of multiple firings on the bond strength between yttria-tetragonal zirconia polycrystals (Y-TZP) and 2 types of resin cements.Sixty 3Y-TZP specimens (LAVA Frame Multi) were divided into 3 groups depending on the following firing procedures: (1) 2-firing cycles, (2) 5-firing cycles, (3) 10-firing cycles ...

Enhancement of Adhesion between Resin Coating Materials and Resin Cements

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 2007
Resin coating technique is a unique method that improves the dentin bond strength of resin cements in indirect restorations. However, the weak link of a specimen bonded using the resin coating technique was reported to be the bonded interface between the resin coating material and resin cement.
