The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The semiclassical resolvent on conformally compact manifolds with variable curvature at infinity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We construct a semiclassical parametrix for the resolvent of the Laplacian acting on functions on nontrapping conformally compact manifolds with variable sectional curvature at infinity.

2×2 operator matrix with real parameter and its spectrum [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
In the present paper we consider a linear bounded self-adjoint 2×2 block operator matrix Aμ (so called generalized Friedrichs model) with real parameter μ ∈ R.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Resolvent and Scattering Matrix at the Maximum of the Potential [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 35P25, 81U20, 35S30, 47A10, 35B38.We study the microlocal structure of the resolvent of the semiclassical Schrödinger operator with short range potential at an energy which is a unique non-degenerate global ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Eigenvalue estimates for the resolvent of a non-normal matrix [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Spectral Theory, 2015
We investigate the relation between the spectrum of a non-normal matrix and the norm of its resolvent. We provide spectral estimates for the resolvent of matrices whose largest singular value is bounded by 1 (so-called Hilbert space contractions) and for power-bounded matrices.
