Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Pseudo-resolvent energy of weighted graphs [PDF]
Let G be a finite order graph. Its resolvent matrix and its resolvent energy are respectively given by R xi ( A ( G )) = (A(G) - xi I)-1 -1 and ER ( G ) = Sigma n n i = 1 (n - lambda i)-1. i ) -1 . For some classes of weighted graphs, we know that lambda

Compartment-Resolved Proteomics with Deep Extracellular Matrix Coverage
The extracellular matrix (ECM) is a complex network of proteins that provides structural support and biochemical cues to cells within tissues. Characterizing ECM composition is critical for understanding this tissue component's roles in development, homeostasis, and disease processes.

The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Resolvent operator theory of sequential quantum processes [PDF]
The Mower sequential decay theory of quantum processes has been extended in order formally to remove certain spurious poles in the matrix elements of the resolvent operator, and to recast the results into a more symmetrical general form. A special choice

Time-resolved Analysis of the Matrix Metalloproteinase 10 Substrate Degradome
Proteolysis is an irreversible post-translational modification that affects intra- and intercellular communication by modulating the activity of bioactive mediators. Key to understanding protease function is the system-wide identification of cleavage events and their dynamics in physiological contexts. Despite recent advances in mass spectrometry-based

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Density-functional perturbation theory goes time-dependent
The scope of time-dependent density-functional theory (TDDFT) is limited to the lowest portion of the spectrum of rather small systems (a few tens of atoms at most).

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.
