This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Understanding and measuring mechanical signals in the tumor stroma
This review discusses cancer‐associated fibroblast subtypes and their functions, particularly in relation to extracellular matrix production, as well as the development of 3D models to study tumor stroma mechanics in vitro. Several quantitative techniques to measure tissue mechanical properties are also described, to emphasize the diagnostic and ...

A partial factorization of the powersum formula
For any univariate polynomial P whose coefficients lie in an ordinary differential field 𝔽 of characteristic zero, and for any constant indeterminate α, there exists a nonunique nonzero linear ordinary differential operator ℜ of finite order such that ...

Mean resolvent analysis of periodic flows [PDF]
The mean resolvent operator predicts, in the frequency domain, the mean linear response to forcing, and, as such, it provides the optimal LTI approximation of the input-output dynamics of flows in the statistically steady regime (Leclercq & Sipp 2023). In this paper, we aim at providing numerical frameworks to extract optimal forcings and responses of ...

Mapping Hsp104 interactions using cross‐linking mass spectrometry
This study examines how cross‐linking mass spectrometry can be utilized to analyze ATP‐induced conformational changes in Hsp104 and its interactions with substrates. We developed an analytical pipeline to distinguish between intra‐ and inter‐subunit contacts within the hexameric homo‐oligomer and discovered contacts between Hsp104 and a selected ...

Data‐driven performance metrics for neural network learning
Summary Effectiveness of data‐driven neural learning in terms of both local mimima trapping and convergence rate is addressed. Such issues are investigated in a case study involving the training of one‐hidden‐layer feedforward neural networks with the extended Kalman filter, which reduces the search for the optimal network parameters to a state ...

Dirichlet problem for second-order abstract differential equations
We study the well-posedness in the space of continuous functions of the Dirichlet boundary value problem for a homogeneous linear second-order differential equation u''+Au = 0, where A is a linear closed densely defined operator in a Banach space. We

A criterion for compactness in L_p(R) of the resolvent of the maximal Sturm-Leovuile operator of general form [PDF]
We obtain a criterion for compactness in Lp (R) of the resolvent of the maximal Sturm-Liouville operator of general form.

We introduce an immunohistochemistry method to measure autophagy flux, highlighting the active degradation and recycling of cellular waste. This cost‐effective approach uses tissue samples to track key markers like LC3 and SQSTM1, revealing how cells maintain health or respond to diseases such as cancer. It bridges the gap between research and clinical

Further Research on the M/G/1 Retrial Queueing Model with Server Breakdowns
We study spectral properties of the operator which corresponds to the M/G/1 retrial queueing model with server breakdowns and obtain that all points on the imaginary axis except zero belong to the resolvent set of the operator and 0 is not an eigenvalue ...
