13C-NMR-Based Metabolomic Profiling of Typical Asian Soy Sauces

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
It has been a strong consumer interest to choose high quality food products with clear information about their origin and composition. In the present study, a total of 22 Asian soy sauce samples have been analyzed in terms of 13C-NMR spectroscopy ...

Effects of Symmetry Breaking in Resonance Phenomena

open access: yes, 2018
We show that resonance phenomena can be treated as nonequilibrium phase transitions. Resonance phenomena, similar to equilibrium phase transitions, are accompanied by some kind of symmetry breaking and can be characterized by order parameters.

Fano resonance scattering in waveguide with an impedance boundary condition

open access: yes, 2015
Sound propagation in a waveguide lined with one section of locally reactive material is studied by resonance scattering approach. The objective is to understand the effects of mode coupling in the lined section on the transmission.

Resonances and resonance widths [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Two-dimensional betatron resonances are much more important than their simple one-dimensional counterparts and exhibit a strong dependence on the betatron phase advance per cell. A practical definition of ''width'' is expanded upon in order to display these relations in tables.

Spin Resonance and dc Current Generation in a Quantum Wire [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We show that in a quantum wire the spin-orbit interaction leads to a narrow spin resonance at low temperatures, even in the absence of an external magnetic field.

Seventy-Two-Hour Preservation, Resuscitation, and Transplantation of an Isolated Rat Heart with High Partial Pressure Carbon Monoxide Gas (PCO = 400 hPa) and High Partial Pressure Carbon Dioxide (PCO = 100 hPa)

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 2010
The cardiac cavity of an isolated rat heart was filled with a Krebs-Henseleit (KH) solution, and the heart was hung in a high-pressure chamber. After the high-pressure chamber had been filled with a mixed gas (PCO = 400 hPa, PCO 2 = 100 hPa, PO 2 = 900 ...

Prognostic value of vasodilator stress perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance after inconclusive stress testing

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, 2021
Background While current guidelines recommend noninvasive testing to detect coronary artery disease, stress tests are deemed inconclusive in a quarter of cases.

Cancellation of light-shifts in an N-resonance clock

open access: yes, 2005
We demonstrate that first-order light-shifts can be cancelled for an all-optical, three-photon-absorption resonance ("N-resonance") on the D1 transition of Rb87. This light-shift cancellation enables improved frequency stability for an N-resonance clock.

Resonant Nucleation [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2005
We investigate the role played by fast quenching on the decay of metastable (or false vacuum) states. Instead of the exponentially-slow decay rate per unit volume, $ _{\rm HN} \sim \exp[-E_b/k_BT]$ ($E_b$ is the free energy of the critical bubble), predicted by Homogeneous Nucleation theory, we show that under fast enough quenching the decay rate is a

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...
