Dielectric resonator antenna for angle diversity

2015 International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSC), 2015
This paper presents a two element dielectric resonator antenna configuration, designed by using a magneto-dielectric material, excited by single co-axial feeding technique, by keeping them at the both sides of the co-axial probe for achieving the angle diversity. This material has been designed such that its temperature coefficient value is −1.02ppm/°C,

Theory of the angle-resonant polariton amplifier

Physical Review B, 2000
A microscopic theory is presented for the giant amplification from microcavities in the strong exciton-photon coupling regime, providing excellent agreement with recent angle-resolved pump-probe experiments. The analytical and numerical solutions give insight into the physics of the polariton parametric amplifier.

Large Angle Ferromagnetic Resonance

INTERMAG 2006 - IEEE International Magnetics Conference, 2006
The steady state solutions of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation for single domain particles with uniaxial anisotropy and a circularly polarized AC field Hac perpendicular to the anisotropy axis. The system has only two degrees of freedom, the angle between the magnetization and the anisotropy axis (which determines the "orbit" of the ...

Triangular resonator with surface plasmon resonance around the critical angle

Journal of Applied Physics, 2011
A novel triangular resonator with total internal reflection and attenuated total reflection (ATR) mirrors is proposed. The resonance characteristics are analyzed for the first time. The optimum gold thickness in the ATR mirror is 33 nm and the resonance angle is 17.777°.

Differential Angle Scanning Surface Plasmon Resonance Detection

2018 IEEE SENSORS, 2018
In this paper, we propose a differential angle-scanning SPR detection approach for an enhanced signal to noise ratio, a fast angle decision calculation, and a wide dynamic range. With a proof-of-concept experimental setup, we measured the SPR characteristics for air, D.I.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Evaluation of Cerebellopontine Angle Tumours

Australasian Radiology, 1989
ABSTRACTIn the evaluation of tumours of the cerebellopontine angle MRI has a sensitivity and a specificity slightly greater than that of CT. At present it does not appear justified to displace CT as the standard means of investigation of a CPA tumour. The role of MRI is analagous to that of air‐CT.

Resonant mixing in perturbed action-action-angle flow

Physical Review E, 2008
This paper presents a quantitative theory of mixing via chaotic advection in near-integrable time-dependent volume-preserving flows for the case when the base (unperturbed) flow possesses two invariants (or actions). Using a model cellular flow introduced by Solomon and Mezic as an example, we construct a quantitative theory of mixing caused by the ...

Analysis of COIL resonator expanding angle design

SPIE Proceedings, 2008
The factors of Chemical Oxygen-Iodine Laser (COIL) resonator expanding angle design are analyzed in this paper. It is shown that the primary factor is the rate of the releasing heat from the near resonant energy transfer reaction between O 2 ( 1 Δ) and I at the resonator entrance with the laser extracting. It is a characteristic of COIL that the rate

Cerebellopontine Angle Tumors: Role of Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Topics in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2000
The cerebellopontine (CP) angle is bound anterolaterally by the posterior aspect of the petrous temporal bone and posteromedially by the cerebellum and pons. It contains important vascular structures and cranial nerves and is subject to a certain gamut of lesions, notably tumors with interesting radiological manifestations.

Brewster-angle resonant filters with absentee layers

Diffractive Optics and Micro-Optics, 2002
A method for lowering the sideband levels associated with the spectral response of resonant waveguide-grating filters is presented. With a TM-polarized incident wave near the Brewster angle, the sidebands are suppressed in resonant structures consisting of a half- wavelength “absentee” waveguide layer and an arbitrary-thickness grating layer. Adjusting
