Coulomb broadened spectral resonances
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1990Both theoretical and experimental results on spectral line broadening due to Coulomb scattering with velocity change are presented. The dependences of the Lamb dip width on the electron concentration and ionic charge have been tested for the argon‐ion‐laser lines at 501.7, 488.0, 363.8, and 351.1 nm.

Resonance broadening in the spectrum of potassium

Broadening of a valence autoionization resonance in electric fields
Physical Review A, 1985We have observed a doubly excited autoionization resonance to broaden with increasing electric field. This broadening is consistent with the quadratic field dependence predicted by a simple perturbative model, but the magnitude of the observed broadening is about four times larger than predicted. Possible reasons for this discrepancy are discussed.

Resonance Broadening of Spectral Lines
Physical Review, 1960A formalism introduced previously is used to calculate the shape of an absorption line in a gas, considering the "resonance" interaction between like atoms. The most serious approximation is the neglect of the effect of translational motion. An asyrnmetric line is obtained, with the maximum shifted slightly toward the red.

Resonant rotational broadening of nuclear magnetic resonance spectra
Physics Letters, 1966Abstract A new resonant line-broadening effect is predicted in the nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of a solid rapidly rotated at the magic angle at certain frequencies of rotation. The effect has been found in solid phosphorus pentachloride.
